Helping our community

A Community homeless shelter

Light at the Inn is a faith-based, rotating, community emergency homeless shelter that started up in Dickinson County in the fall of 2016.

The mission of the shelter states:

The shelter's mission is to provide support for those who are homeless in Dickinson County, Michigan, through the cooperative efforts of an interfaith coalition and various social service agencies, by offering a safe emergency shelter and an opportunity for these individuals to choose a path of successful transition to independence.

Redemption Hill has committed to facilitating three weeks at our church.

  • December 3-10
  • January 28-February 4
  • March 11-18

How can you help? Volunteer! We need...

  • meal donations
  • meal preparation for our guests
  • assistants to be at the church when our guests are here
  • volunteers to check in our guests
  • drivers morning and night to and from the church

Would you consider partnering with us and signing up for some of the available opportunities? There are many to choose from!
